~*~ PORN ~*~
Camilla had waited until she was one hundred percent, absolutely, positively sure that Diaspro was no where within range before poofing over to where she could sense Jasper in the forest. Since finishing her wand, Camilla had taken joy in the regaining the ability to travel instantaneously she didn't really give much thought to what Jasper was doing by a river. She couldn't see him at first and so walked down to the bank, once again in her ever impractical heels and skirt that was her staple despite having a action-oriented lifestyle that would make it much more practical to bop about in Lulu Lemon.
When she did catch sight of him (he was bathing), she didn't shy away like she probably should have to maintain his modesty if not her own.
"How're you doing, Jasper? I'm glad to see you got out alright." Even though that whole fiasco had been months ago, there was a slight edge to her voice. He had kidnapped her, after all.

Jasper actually found he preferred the forest to the Endless Wastes. He had long since become use to rough living. They were a no-income extremist group living in a shack, but now, when he wanted to be alone, he had somewhere to go besides endless desert.
Especially because only a mile from their camp he'd found a hidden hot spring. When Camilla approached, he had his back to her, the water level just above his waist. He flipped around, horrified, at the unexpected sound of her voice, dropping instantly to his shoulders, his face a tomato red.
"What are you doing here?" he asked, aghast.

Camilla grinned at his blush and figured he was probably completely naked since she'd seen a good bit of torso even though she kept her eyes a good five inches above his waist level. She sat down on the grass a little ways away from the natural lip of the hot spring.
"Came to check up on you, see how you were doing. I finally got my wand fixed. I want to make sure you were okay. Do you need anything? Food? Supplies?" She thought that one over for a moemnt. "I'm not granting any wishes for weapons."

He narrowed his eyes as she sat on the bank of the spring, making herself perfectly comfortable. His clothes were in a pile somewhere to her right. No chance of getting them without exposing himself. He sunk a little further in the water until only his nose peeked over the surface, simmering like an angry crocodile.
He blew a few irate bubbles before bobbing up enough to talk. "I'm fine, thanks." A pause. "I'm glad your wand is fixed. Are you okay, otherwise?"

She looked around and saw his bundle of clothing and grinned. Standing, she picked them up and tucked them under her arm before coming to sit back down a little closer to the spring with them in her lap. A little revenge never hurt anyone.
"Oh well, I had to work so hard to fix that wand because your little explosion caused a woman's back to break and her friend, the Mummy, was quite scary, actually. I worked so hard, in fact, that I had a bit of a mental breakdown in which I forgot a big chunk of things about my life. But otherwise, I'm just dandy." She smiled a little over-bright at him and looked back down at his clothing thoughtfully.

"Oh."
He saw his clothes, resting so very out of reach in her lap, and couldn't even work up a proper glare. Aaah... and his pistol, right by her ankle.
"So why are you checking on me? I'm more trouble than I'm worth."

"Because despite kidnapping me, you also saved me, and if I'm any good at reading people you didn't like kidnapping me." She softened a little but it didn't look like she was going to release his clothing. "And that's not true. You're a good person under your misguided ways."
She sighed and dropped her chin into her palm, elbow resting on her knee. "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner. I would've, but making a new wand is hard work." And she found she was actually getting sick of the frantic pace of her life.
"I think I actually want a vacation."

He raised an eyebrow. If anyone needed a vacation, it was Camilla. He could have told her that the first time they'd met, but he'd never expected to hear her admit it herself.
He shrugged, his shoulders lifting out of the water. "Then go on vacation. And don't worry.... I wasn't expecting you."

Camilla frowned and chucked his clothing at him, surprised his frosty tone bothered her at all.
"Thing is, I don't really know how." She said as she stood and took out her new, now-gold wand. She studied it for a moment, seeming to hesitate on the instant poofing for another second. "What are you living in this time? A tree fort?"

He grimaced as his clothes landed in the water, bobbing for a second before becoming waterlogged and sinking. He sighed and snatched his pants, managing (with no small amount of finesse) to pull them on underwater.
He crawled to the bank. "No need to get snippy. I was being serious. I wouldn't check up on the guy that kidnapped me." He tilted his head, studying her, a bit amused. "You don't know how to go on vacation?"

"I have very few actual friends." She replied in a self-mocking tone, although it was pathetically true. There was Nex, and that was really about it. Jasper was....Jasper and Jack was just someone who she'd helped out once (and was forevermore involved with, apparently. Once you got in with that crowd it was incredibly difficult to get out. (Not that she really wanted to)). "And no. I work. That's just what I do, I work and help people when they'll let me and I don't know how to not..." She sighed and rubbed the back of her neck with her hand as though something was burdening her back.
"I'm old. Really old. And I've never taken a vacation, I've never been in love, I've never had a relationship that's last more than a few strung together nights." She groaned and rubbed her face, "And I have a grand total of one friend, so who am I telling all this to? The guy that kidnapped me."

He had to ask himself the same question. He felt like the last person to offer advice on this kind of thing. He shrugged, his face darkening with a touch of bitterness. "Sometimes it's better not to have loved."
He attempted to cover it with a belated smile. "And you don't look old. Take the vacation. Wing it."

"But I am. I'm practically ancient. And I've done very little in my life that I can look back on fondly. For living so long I should have something." She looked up at him and smiled softly. "Guess you lost, huh?"
She tilted her face up to the speckled sun breaking through the thick canopy. "I'd need to go somewhere were no one else was, so I wouldn't have to feel the constant tug of their needs on me. Tell me where I can find a place like that and I'll go."

"You could say so," he muttered, averting his gaze. He studied the pattern of the shadows on his stomach for a moment, forcing Jolene's smile from his mind, back to the pits of his once-heart, where it belonged.
"Can't you... cut them loose?" he asked, with a glance at her from the bottom corner of his eye. "Or is it like a genie deal, where they have to decide?"

She rubbed her wrists as if remembering something and shook her head, "I can't cut them loose, they can't wish me away. I'm stuck hearing everyone's needs and wants and I feel it tugging on me like if I don't help they'll draw and quarter me, all these wishes pulling." Camilla realized she probably sounded a little bit crazy, but let him deal with it and see how he handled it. She'd held up for hundreds of years. She was allowed a bit of a midlife crisis.
"I'm sorry about her, you know. You didn't deserve that. I could make it go away, you know, the pain."
