Mercedes put her fist right through the little school boy's head. Crush, her ass. She looked right back at him when he did it, too, her hand sticking through the little flame head. That was until she realized she was going to burn her skin off that way. She might be tough, but snakes and fire didn't get along well. She tried to look like she wasn't smarting in pain as she faux suavely dropped her hand and subtly slipped it behind her back to clench and unclench it to ward away the burning sensation.
She was of a mind to refuse him 100%. She was way to mature and serious and... responsible to play truth or dare. It was really more Bela's thing anyway. That was until she saw the group of people gathering round, laughing and talking to each other. Mercedes shifted uncomfortably in her small heels. Chucking her pride to the wind, she approached the group.
"So, who starts?" she asked. It was a party, for heavens sake. She could at least pretend to have fun.
--
For some reason, Nex believed her, even if the comment sounded moderately sarcastic to less gullible ears.
"Thanks," he said with a shrug. He didn't really think he looked all that nice. Well, not as nice as she did, anyways. "You, too." He grinned and looked out at the crowd. "This is my first big city get-together. Of course I'm having fun!" All those people with all those vibrant auras... Better than any hallucinatory trip one could devise. Nex thrived on happy, positive energy. Which was odd considering he'd spent the previous hour terrorizing a fuddy-duddy old man who had informed him he was doing the devil's work. Different kind of energy, maybe...
"Hi," he said, taking her hand and happily not having any clue as to who she was. "Nex. I'd love to," he added, smiling at her. Bronze-ish brown. His smile widened. Selfish, but with the propensity to be very generous. A pretty good aura, all in all.

Ouch. Alexander grimaced as Mercedes decapitated his little fire boy. He was surprised when she walked over anyway, and he offered a crooked smile as a buffer for the apparent insult. Raising an eyebrow, he said, "Hey, you're kind of fun, and better looking, when you're not a cop. Keep it up and you might enjoy yourself."
Facing Demitri, he shook his head sadly. "You know insults are lost on me when you use such big words. Stick around, Four Eyes, we're about to play Truth or Dare." His eyebrows arched conspiratorially, as if it would be the singularly funnest thing to ever grace Chimera.

Armand sent Zizzy an uncertain look. If she wanted to, then they would. Marie seemed to have lightened up. Maybe her enthusiasm was a bit fake, but it would have been much more shocking to have the two opposite girls suddenly blossom in unlikely friendship. He glanced once at Mikhail, a Nightmare he didn't know, but he'd seemed nice enough (though, just like Marie, the charm could be an act).
"I guess we're in then," he said, with a small smile at Marie.

[Lots and lots of beautiful, administrator sanctified godmoding ahead.]
The room for the game had been set up perfectly. It was far enough away from the ballroom for the noise not to attract any attention, but close enough to several points of interest to make for interesting dares should anyone have a bit of imagination.
Marie led her gaggle, which had grown beyond what she'd approved, but whatever, into the room. Pillows were stacked next to the threshold and she grabbed one, handed it off and took another for herself.
"Sit in a circle." She commanded with a grin and took her position at what, if it wasn't a round shape, would definitely be called the head. Once everyone had taken their seat, she stood again, ever the gracious hostess, and began handing out the truth serum.
The second last person to take a sip was herself, and she purposely finished off the bottle. Turning to Alex she raised an apologetic eyebrow and handed him another bottle. It wasn't quite the same, but it would make the evening just as fun.
After he took the sip all she had to do was give him a kiss and he'd be hers for a few hours, and all of it would seem completely natural to him. She tucked the bottle away when he returned it and took her pillow-seat next to him, about to lean in when someone beat him to it.
Zizzy had taken the opportunity of sitting beside Alex on his other side (with Armand beside her, of course) to thank him. She didn't see him so much anymore and she'd yet to do so. Touching his shoulder she'd whispered, "Alex, what you did for me meant a lot. Thank you for being someone I could count on." And pecked him quickly on the cheek.
Marie looked positively livid, but she couldn't let it ruin her overall goal of getting one of the Princes to herself. Eyes angry and tone fierce, she nearly hissed her next words.
"Alexandair, truz or dare?"

Mikhail took two pillows for himself, immediately lounging back into them as he sank down at Armand's other side. Well, if he couldn't have the outgoing one, this one was at least just as good to look at. When the serum was passed, he didn't even hesitate before sipping. There were plenty of interesting ways to word the truth, he knew that much. And he was certainly well-versed in them.
His eyes flicked to Alexander excitedly as Marie began the game.

Demitri held the serum hesitantly This was a bad idea A very bad idea Why was it that people so willingly participated in bad ideas just for entertainment “because” came the little voice in his head that developed over years of antisocial behavior, “people like watching other people participate in bad ideas, it’scalled…oh what was the word…funny? Yes, funny.” Well…if this required a sense of humor…. He looked around the circle Screw it And downed a bit of the serum before passing it Who knows Maybe I’ll confess a deep fear of the dark that I had buried from the age of 3

NOTE:
Okay, to keep things moving a little faster, we're not going to wait for every single person to post for each dare, so there won't be a lot of "he watched with interest" posts. However, if your characters is involved (or you want them to be), or you want to post anyway, by all means do, there's just no specific order. Also, the truth and dare will get passed around, when it comes to you, try to reassign it to someone that hasn't had a turn yet. Savvy? Great.
Truth serum. Perfect. Reluctantly, Armand took his own sip and passed it to Zizzy. This would never be something he would normally do of his own free will. What was Alexander always telling him? Live a little?
Alexander grinned at Zizzy as she sat by him. "Long time no see." She kissed him and something warm blossomed on his cheek and spread through his chest and into the deep part of his stomach. His eyelids grew heavy and the orange orbs of his eyes went thick, like slow-moving lava. He blinked dazedly a few times. "Whoa. Sorry, that was weird, I don't--"
He stopped. Had Zizzy always been so.... stunning before? The soft line of her jaw, the turn of her nose, her eyes sort of glowed in the dim lighting of the room. And it wasn't just a fact like she was pretty, but she was pretty to him. It was uncomfortable to be so suddenly attracted to her, sitting right at her side, their skin practically touching.
....what was he thinking?! Armand would sell his ripped out heart to gypsy demons. He was grateful for the distraction Marie provided calling his name. He turned away from Zizzy, his cheeks still a little flushed.
"Dare," he said easily.

Marie could only imagine what Alexander was feeling now. She'd been told the potion had immediate effect and that it had quite the punch. Now she just had to optimize on that and maybe she could create a rift between Armand and the stupid little twit who had ruined her whole evening. Payback was the least she could do.
Rubbing her hands together diabolically, she carefully didn't look at Genn, lest she be infected through eye contact with some sort of conscience.
"I dare you to plant one on Twiggy---oops, I mean Zizzy. On ze lips." She flashed him a knowing grin and winked.
Zizzy thundered a little, like hell that little name-slip hadn't been intentional. Shooting a sharp glare and the incredibly smug looking little leader, she turned to Alexander, nudging him in the ribs with her elbow.
"Don't worry, I won't tell." It wouldn't be a big deal, it was kind of juvenile, really. She'd been expecting a little more diverse dares than the ones you did when you were a giddy teen at your first sleepover.

Alexander stared at Marie, at the smugness to her would-be innocent grin, and his eyes narrowed. She knew something. He sent her a threatening this isn't over glare, before sparing an uneasy glance at Zizzy.
His brain, namely the very tiny logical portion of it, chanted, "Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea," while the rest of him (suddenly alive with hormones) countered, "Do it, do it, do it, yeeeah baby."
He looked at Armand, who met his questioning glance with a half-smile and a small shrug, all understanding and good-natured. He sucked in a sharp breath, almost wishing Armand would be the stick in the mud he was supposed to be. But he couldn't back down on a dare. It just wasn't in him.
"Creative," he told Marie with a bite of sarcasm. It was the best revenge he had for the moment. "Alright, come here, Twiggy," he said and reached forward to take Zizzy's chin in his hand. He leaned in, steeling himself. One quick peck on the lips and the dare was verified, and that's all he intended to do, that's all anyone expected him to do.
But when his lips connected with hers, even the petal soft touch that it was, a quick peck suddenly wasn't enough, and he rocked forward, moving his hand from her chin to behind her neck, and kissed her. An 'I'm parched and you're water' kind of kiss, with the underlying heat and intensity of an unleashed flame (which he was).
With more effort than he cared to admit, he pulled away, wishing he hadn't enjoyed that so much. He would have felt more guilty if it hadn't been worth it. He dared a brief glance at Armand and mentally winced.
Armand wouldn't say anything in front of everyone, wouldn't start a fight and ruin the game, because that wasn't Armand, but his eyes narrowed into a cold look, the line of his mouth hard.

Marie let out a low whistle and giggled happily. This just might turn out in her favor after all. "Your turn Alexandair. And before we go any farthair, some rules. If you back down from a dare, you are out. If you refuse to answer a truth, you are out. And you forever 'ave the reputation of a coward."
Despite herself, Zizzy was left a little breathless. She'd been expecting a quick peck, although she wasn't that shocked. Alexander probably thought it was funny. But there was something behind the kiss, the something that left her just a little bit dazed that made her think he wasn't laughing.
Her eyes narrowed and she would've leaned in to whisper, except she doubted no one wasn't watching them. So she just took stock of Armand's expression, who apparently agreed with her that it hadn't all been some joke and took his hand again.

Mikhail's eyes widened at the sudden show of passion, and he shot a brief glance to Marie. Oh heavens, this is your fault isn't it? How delightful!
His gaze turned to Alexander, "Come along now, make sure it's a good one, hmm? I mean, honestly, what fun is it to watch dares if they aren't a little dangerous? I know I won't back down." He purred easily.

Genevieve not only blushed, but actually felt the need to advert her eyes. Ever-suave, she played it off by examining her oil slick-colored nails. Genn liked to think that she knew her brothers fairly well, Alexander especially (he was much easier to read), but it seemed that maybe she was wrong. It appeared to her that Alexander was completely smitten with his little Eleanor; he had moved in with her, right? She thought Nellie had settled him down. But, maybe it was just too weird to be true.
She nudged Marie when she thought no one was looking and leaned in so close to Marie’s ear that she almost got lip-gloss on it. “Did you do that?” she whispered behind her hand, as quietly as possible.

Armand felt Zizzy's hand slip into his own, and he returned the gesture, albeit somewhat stiffly. The image of them kissing still burned painfully in his mind. He didn't know why it bothered him so much. He knew it didn't mean anything. He knew Zizzy loved him, and he knew Alexander was at least very close to loving Nellie. But there had to be some kind of chemistry for that kind of kiss to take place, and Alexander wasn't known to stick with one thing for very long, and as much as he hated to admit it, he was much more Zizzy's type than he was. Laid-back, fun, charming.
Deftly ignoring both Zizzy and Armand, Alexander plowed forward with game, more than ready to move on. And still the attraction hadn't left. Kissing Zizzy didn't satiate the urge, it made it worse. Now he wanted to drag her out of the room and have his way with her.
Not really though. He would never, ever really do that.
...he was pretty sure.
He raised a challenging eyebrow at Mikhail. "Oh won't you?" he said, his voice a purr, a cat let out of a bag. "Alright, then, Mikhail, isn't it? I dare you...." He paused conspiratorially, "to go find the biggest, meanest, stupidest, drunkest Nightmare out there tonight, steal his belt, and wear it around your neck for the rest of the night as a souvenier."

The stiffness with which Armand returned her hand-hold was disconcerting. Probably, she should have pushed Alexander away the moment the kiss got out of hand, but she'd been so shocked. When they'd first met, when things had still been rocky with Armand, before Nellie, there had been some light flirting. But they had eased into a friendship much more naturally than they ever would've a romance. She figured it was because they'd been too much alike. Past tense, because she knew she was different from the careless girl who had first met her Prince at a Lake. And Alexander certainly wasn't the same either.
Besides, she loved Armand and Alex hadn't even held half the interest for her as he did, just as she imagined she'd never interested him that way either. Not the way Nellie did. It made so little sense that she'd just assumed, after a moment, that he was joking---making a show of it to stick something to Marie. But that excuse was wearing thin under the passion with which he'd done it, the way he was acting now, and Armand's reaction, who knew his brother better than anyone, and would be the first to understand his motives.
It hadn't meant a thing to her, but she could understand Armand being upset. She would've been furious had she seen another woman kiss him like Alex had kissed her. She scooted away from the circle, pulling him with her, since the dare didn't involve them and she wasn't so interested in seeing Mikhail carry out his dare as she was with Armand's displeasure.
She looked at him imploringly, hoping he'd stay behind with her as everyone else would undoubtedly leave to watch Mikhail flounder or succeed. Zizzy placed a kiss at the bottom of his ear, not caring really that the others were still in the room---for now, anyways. "I'm sorry." How many times was that now? That she'd had to apologize? How many times could one person screw up?
------------------
Marie winked at Mikhail, but when Genn asked her, she turned to her friend with bewilderment written clearly across her features. Of all things to make her feel bad, taking advantage of Genn's trustfulness in this way did it.
But she went ahead anyways. "Me?" She hissed back, 'confused'. "Mais non. I zought 'ee was wiz Nellie? He seemed so infatuated."
At Alexander's dare, she clapped her hands together again and cooed. "Wonderful!" Standing, she held out a hand to help Genn and frowned when she saw Zizzy trying to keep Armand back. At least the prince looked a little stony faced.
"Oh Alexandair, zat was a much bettair dare than mine. But I doubt you will enjoy this one as much as you did ze othair, huh?" She was glad she'd thought to dose the potion with truth serum, so that he wouldn't be exempt.

Mikhail laughed happily. Oh, it would be fun to twist this one up.
"Well, you know, that's a difficult one, getting all those things together at once. But let's see...well, I do know someone who's looking rather dangerously mean tonight. He's certainly drunk something awful as well. And well...honestly, the old saying's right, isn't it? Fools fall in love."
I- he thought- am going to be killed in the most delightful manner for this.
And with that, he set one hand into the middle of Armand's chest, pushing him delicately back onto the floor as his other hand aimed for his belt buckle.

Armand sighed and his eyes lowered tiredly as he glanced at Zizzy. "It's not--" he began to explain, but then an unexpected hand was on his chest, and before he could comprehend what had happened, he was on his back and a set of fingers were working on his belt. "Hey," he said, automatically locking the offending wrist in a tight grip, a hint of red tainting the tops of his cheeks.
Alexander's eyes widened and his jaw dropped, before he quickly ducked his head to hide his laughter. Who invited this guy? It was unpredictable, embarrassing.... and awesome.
