He cocked his head, giving her an 'oh-please' look. "I invented trouble-maker of the family," he said matter-of-factly. He took the definition of 'black sheep' to an entirely new level.
"Well, I know your mom, cause she knows my mom, and she's worked with my brother a few times. Don't know your Dad, but know OF your Dad. And your sister and I have... tangoed once or twice."

She raised an eyebrow at that look, laughing. "Can you gamble?" she asked suddenly. "And you may have invented 'trouble-maker of the family' but you don't turn people into stone with a single glance." Making a face, she added, "Be glad you can get out of the trouble you make yourself if you want to." Bela, on the other hand, had Mercedes watching her like a hawk; there was no way that the head of the League of Shadows would allow her little sister to be in trouble. Which just spurred Bela on to new disasters.
"Dad used to be pretty notorious around here," she agreed, indicating The Faded. Oh, of course he knew Mercedes. It just figured, didn't it? "Actually, I'm not surprised you know Mercedes." Bela smirked again, "What? You mean she didn't arrest you? Shame, that." Although, that situation could be easily remedied, with both of them on the job.

The thought brought back old memories. "Not yet," he said, smirking. "I like Mercedes. She arrested you, or something?" He looked at her suspiciously.

"I like Mercedes, too; she's a wonderful sister," Bela agreed. Plus, she could always count on her sister to know what to do if she ever needed advice (rare, but it did happen occasionally).
Her smirk turned into a mischievous grin. "What's your favorite method of causing trouble?" she asked, devious mind already formulating some sort of plan. Plus, she was bored.

Oh. He liked her.
Their minds seemed to run along the same out-of-control train track. His eyes glinted. He was ready to raise a little hell, pun very much intended. "Well...." he drawled. His hand lit on fire, and he danced his fingers along the edge of his glass. "Arson is my forte." He grinned.

She watched as his hand caught fire, grinning. "Fire. Excellent choice. Pretty AND causes plenty of notice," she mused, tapping a hand on the bar. "Now, what should we turn into a torch?"
Bela thought for a moment, wondering what would get them into the most trouble. "It'll have to be something very public," she thought out loud. Otherwise, Mercedes would just tell her to go home before supper got cold and she was tired of that.

Alexander thought. "Not around here," he said. He placed a hand dramatically over his heart. "Its dear to both our hearts." What kind of snooty establishment would deserve it? Opera house? No. His mother drain him of his bodily fluids. The castle? Lived there. Sometimes.
"The Gaia?" He suggested lightly.

"Good heavens!" Bela exclaimed, putting the back of her hand to her forehead. "Whatever would we do?" She grinned; she was enjoying Alex's company quite a bit. Maybe they should cause trouble together more often.
At his suggestion, she broke into a wicked, wicked smile. "Perfect," she murmured, the same wicked gleam in her eye. "The patrons could use a little ... excitement." Oh, this was going to be fun!
