Zizzy smiled. Sometimes it seemed like a full time job forcing him to slough off some of that austerity he pulled off so well. "What do we need to bring?" She asked, happy she was getting her way. Even if he was concerned about her, she would be fine and they would have this moment of serenity before all hell broke loose.
"And don't concern yourself so much. It'll be fun." She lifted an eyebrow challengingly, "Although I'm unsure if you know the meaning of the word..."

He arched a brow. "I beg your pardon," he said coolly. "I am oodles of fun."
Grabbing her waist, he lifted her up and set her back on the window seat, moving to the closet. "Nothing, really," he said. "A good pair of shoes. Food, if we want it." He rifled through his things, picking and choosing what he needed. She didn't need to bring anything, but he intended to bring several things... just in case. He glanced at her. "Do we want it?"

Zizzy laughed and that felt good and a small part of her couldn't help thinking that she'd accomplish her mission, at least for today. "We do. I'm going to be starved and you are too muscly to munch on." She slid off the seat and found a pair of suitable shoes. He wasn't going to let her carry anything, she knew that much, but she would try hard not to be a burden.
She approached him from behind and stood on her tippy-toes to nibble on his neck, "Blegh!"

He turned to face her, mouth already working into a grin. "Don't form any opinions until you taste the best part," he said, leaning down and capturing her mouth in his. He would have been content to remain like that for awhile yet, and perhaps indulge in some other things before leaving-- but at this rate, they were never going to get gone as it was, so he pulled back, kissing her nose, then returning to strapping the dagger hilt to his waist.

He was lucky he'd pulled away when he had because she'd been this close to forgetting any plans involving leaving the room at all. But once she could think straight again, she found she was still excited. She'd shown him her spot more than once, and it had been such a positive experience. She couldn't help but assume the same would be true this time.
Touching the hilt of the dagger wearily, Zizzy shook her head. "Expecting the trees to try and eat me?" Although truth be told, although his over-protectiveness could be tiresome, it was also touching and times like these, reassuring. "I'll go get food." She declared and left him to strap on the billions of other weapons he was probably itching for.
She came back with a small knapsack on her back. She was clutching at the straps with both hands and looking a little mulish. It wasn't heavy, she was going to carry it. "Ready to go?"

He knew that look, and he almost regretted reaching forward to put a hand on the knapsack, giving her one of his own Looks.
"You're not carrying it," he stated simply. "And yes, I am. I already called the carriage to be ready."

Zizzy glared up at him. "You've probably put on fifty pounds of metal since I went downstairs." But she didn't put up much more of a fight. Sighing, she slid out of the bag, letting it hang in his hand. This was the kind of time his over-protectiveness got on her nerves. She could carry a bag that hardly weighed a thing, but he seemed to think it would break her.
"Just consider yourself lucky I'm not in the mood to argue." She wanted one blissful afternoon with him, to store up and treasure for the coming turmoil.

"Counting my blessings as we speak," he said, guiding her out the door, downstairs to their waiting carriage. And even if he did put on fifty pounds of metal on, he also weighed probably fifty more pounds than she did, and he wasn't pregnant.
He told their driver to take them to the edge of the Forest of Mystery. It was still fairly early in the day. It was too bad they missed the sunrise. Sunset wasn't an option because he didn't feel comfortable taking Zizzy through the Forest of Mystery at night.

The carriage ride didn't take that long, although it took them through the city. While it did, Zizzy focused extra hard on distracting Armand. She wasn't sure if Morpheus was showing signs of famine quite yet, but she didn't want him to be reminded when this was supposed to be to free his mind from his troubles for a little while. Fortunately, he didn't mind being distracted and when the carriage jolted to a stop, she pulled away, hurrying to get out before the driver thought to help her out.
"You lead." She said, bending down to make sure her laces were tight. "I have no clue where we're going."
