The Castle Partial to their native land, the royal family lives on the very outskirts of Chimera, on a hill that overlooks the Nightmare city. Gothic in structure, the castle is dark and forbidding, looming high with intimidating towers and spires. Gargoyles hang off the roof and a metal gate encircles and protects it from outside visitors. Ancient and horrifically magnificent, it has an intense aura that suggests a living being rather than an old building. Moderator: Miss Jack |

Opera di Incubi Once reserved just for Nightmares, the Opera di Incubi provides high-class entertainment for Nightmare and Dream alike. Built in an extravagant Georgian style, the Opera House is second in splendor only to the Castle, though it is far gaudier. Gold leaf, red velvet, and marble are in no short supply, creating a very luxe environment. The performances held at the di Incubi are the crème de la crème of the Isle of Morpheus, and pretty much the only source of traditional entertainment. Moderator: Princess Katie |

Chimera Chimera is the official Nightmare capital and a bustling metropolis complete with everything a Nightmare could ever want. Relax in a café over cappuccinos with the boogey man, get yourself a new outfit from one of the trendy boutiques, share a bottle of O negative with that special someone, or find yourself the perfect apartment for some off-the-clock relaxation. The Rissa Grande This forboding building serves, as it has for many a century, as the Nightmare prison. You have to be pretty bad to land yourself in here. The guards are nearly as frightening as what they watch over, and the building itself seems to darken the air around it. You're free to enter, as long as you can answer the doorman's riddle. But be warned, you might have a harder time getting out. Moderator: Miss Jack |

The Faded Located in downtown Chimera, 'The Faded' is the name of a very prestigious, and most horrific, night bar. A place for those who feel like getting drunk. It is not uncommon for fights to break out or the bathroom to have a film of vomit. Be careful of the regulars, however, as they are the most belligerent. This is where most of the 'shifty' work of the area goes down. Strippers and other nighttime shows frequent as entertainment. The loft in the story above can hold a few tenants, if they don't mind the condition of the place. Moderator: Miss Jack |

The Cemetery of Lost Souls To Nightmares, the Cemetery of Lost Souls is the equivalent of a New Yorker's Central Park. It's well tended, but not enough to lose that creepy, wasted feel Nightmares love so much. There are several elaborate tombs of great and famous Nightmares, and most headstones are decrepit, but beautiful, statues. On a full moon (which appears at random intervals) the statues come alive and dance the night away on the dying grass. Dreams are welcome to bury their dead here, but unlike the Nightmares, they find it creepy. |

Housing Whether it be the slums or the cramped apartments of the city, or the simplistic village home, or a ritzy mansion, Nightmares have to live somewhere. If you'd like your character to have a 'house', just PM an admin and tell them where it shall be, and what its description is. Sub-boards: The de Zorro Home, Zizzy's Apartment |

The Gaia Outside the hustle and bustle of Dreamlan is an amalgam of cavernous mansions and ancient estates. At the end of winding display of wealth and privilege loom’s a great white country club, with high walls to keep out the unworthies and enough splendor to make your eyes water. The Gaia is a ritzy, schmoozy country club that has clung unwaveringly to the old Victorian lifestyle. Warranting an invite to an event, usually balls, masquerades and teas, at the Gaia is considered the utmost privilege. |

Good Hope Hospital The hospital, like the Opera di Incubi, is one of the rare places that allow equal admittance to both Dreams and Nightmares. The idea of a medical facility was at first baffling to the Nightmares, who had survived all these centuries with fix-it-yourself jobs and that one-guy-that-lived-above-the-bookstore. The hospital employs a variety of "doctors" and nurses that use every method of healing known to history. If something ails you, someone, or something, should be able to cure you. Moderator: Jules |

Dreamland The Dream capital, often referred to as the city of gems, is like Disney and Paris meshed into one. The sidewalks glitter, music seems to be a constant occurence that floats in the background. It's devoid of the grit and intensity of Chimera, and most people are friendly and open (unless you're a Nightmare-- they're easy to spot, being the only ones in sunglasses). |

Palace Shopping Center In a past lifetime, the shopping center was the Queen of Dreams' palace, and is both gaudy and enormous. Everything you could imagine is sold here; even a few Nightmare vendors will set up shop to sell their wares. In the basement (previously the dungeons) black market deals go down. |

The Lake A large body of water with shores like a lake, but waves like an ocean. All manner of water-loving creatures reside there. One end of the shoreline falls into Dream territory, and the other falls into Nightmare territory. And so, unable to agree upon a name, it is just referred to as the lake. Though, don't be confused if you hear someone call it the Rainbow Lagoon, or Ocean of Tears. |

The Forest of Mystery The Forest of Mystery is, you guessed it, an enchanted forest. It sucks in all the excess magic in the Isle of Morpheus, and so has properties both Dream and Nightmare. Flowers and trees come alive to play, or if you're in the wrong end, you'll serve as their lunch. |

The Edge The only portal out of the Isle of Morpheus. There's a plain, slightly rocky terrain that slopes up and stops at a cliff, its edge deep and jagged. Over the cliff is a waterfall of light-- currents of blue and white that flow at rapid speeds, and look like a cascade of electricity. The top is invisible, merging into black rolling clouds in the sky, and if one were to look down, the bottom would also be inifinite. The air is incredibly windy, almost forcing you away from it. |

Real World The realm of mortals. Nightmares and Dreams alike are warned against venturing out, as humans tend to see them as slightly surreal (wonder why), and it's best to avoid detection. |
