"She'll die if the evil isn't expelled," Nex elaborated sagely. "Stubbornness can be damaging to the minds energy flow," Nex added, careful not to turn that particular looking-glass around. Besides, it sounded cooler if he didn't admit to it being a hypocrisy. He paused, face pensive.
"I'm not sure what's causing it. Maybe that disturbance in the natural order," Read: earthquake. "fractured her in some way," Nex suggested. He honestly wasn't sure. Hypothesizing, or overly complex thoughts in general, were just about as much his thing as reading. He proffered to take things as they are and make magical adjustments as the need arose.
"Buttercup was the girl here earlier," he surmised. So, he'd met the entire hospital staff by now. No wonder Camilla was distressed.

Paquette looked vaguely alarmed. Die? That sounded deeply unpleasant. "As much as I'm in favor of resting to get better, she ought to get that out. But, oh! She doesn't rest either! You ought to do something."
Ha, shoving work off onto someone else! Score.
She shook her head. "Possibly. Oh, bother. If she gets sick...! Oh, yes, that was Buttercup. The blonde."

"It'd help if I had backup in persuading her," he suggested. Camilla obviously wasn't open to his suggestions so perhaps a prompting from her more seasoned staff would be all the encouragement she needed.

"Backup?" Paquette asked, wrinkling her forehead in thought. "As in me?"
Work? How dreadful. After a moment of internal debate, Paquette sighed, albeit rather pettishly. If Camilla died, it would be ever-so-much more work than trying to heal her. All the same....
"I'm sure she can take care of herself. Surely she'd go to the king if there were any serious trouble." Paquette sounded slightly doubtful on this point, however.

"I'm not so sure..." Nex added, thinking on Camilla's unwavering stubbornness. She didn't seem the 'ask for help' sort. He shook his head sadly.
"Thanks for showing me around," he said, the sanguine smile returning full force. He looked at the files and decided he'd read them... later. First, he might as well go down and see the patients and then he was going to look into carving a Sator Square on the front door...
