Father? Well that was a moronic notion that Demitri was absolutely sure to shrug off, because, it never really mattered A piece of knowledge he would prefer to live without thankyouverymuch No questions here No dallying They were here for the book, that's it "We're looking for a book, a journal." ---------------------- The Fate's turned to eachother Turned back A teasing smile across the face of Past, "It's always good to keep your enemies close," Eyeing the two of them, "But holding hands is a little far I'd think..." Sneered the Future, holding her hooded head high, "Well, his father did wind up marrying his enemy..." A cackling laugh rang high from the three, "That's dedication." Included present, just trying to be involved when the laughter suddenly stopped and the two hissed, "SHUSH!"

Alexander immediately released Demitri's hand with a semi disgusted frown. His head spun as he listened to them. Enemies? They weren't enemies; Demitri was one of his only friends.
And it sounded, very suspiciously, like they were talking about HIS father. But... everyone knew that. It was old-time gossip.
"Look, the book, okay?" he repeated, a bit impatiently.

"oooo....someone is getting a little trite..." Hissed the past while the future's blank face lifted towards them and Death finally looked up from her game. "The book? " "..." "ah yes...that book..." For a moment the world beneath the edge seemed to silence itself. The wind ceased to howl and Death continued her constant stare and Present maintained a solem expression (hoping to hide the fact that she was just as clueless).A moment or so past between past and future...as if a silent agreement had been made when the deafening quiet as boken, "we don't have it." "Nope...lost it, i'm afraid." muttered the squat and sturdy Past, "shame really, would have given it to you if we hadn't misplaced it all those years ago..." _____________ Demitri looked a little like he was going to blow a fuse Glasses broken...splattered like an insect on a windshield...and for what? Because a few old bats with alzhimers couldn't keep their potentially destructive lituratre in order.

Alexander's eyes slipped, almost casually, into a narrowed stare-- a frightening, inherited trait. He touched Demitri's shoulder once, as if to say, Let me handle this, and took a few steps forward. His arms crossed over his chest.
"It took you a pretty long time to 'remember' that you'd lost it. Which leads me to believe that you have in fact, not lost it. Where is it?"

"mmm...." Mused the Future while the Past seemed to nod off for a minute, "I believe..." Another long pause, "It would be...." The agonizing wait for the elderly's memory The Future looked to Past who snored and jolted awake, "WHAT!" The sister's turned to her, "The book..." ' "Oh...yes...quite...that...old...thing..." A nervous smile beneath her hood, "We left it in the forest, I recall. With that oh so nice young mortal, what was his name again?" "Brutis?" "No, not that one..." "Nero?" "No, this one didn't kill anyone or cause the fall of anything..." "Are you sure it wasn't Napoleon..." "Positive...Romans and Greeks you know, very reliable...full of myth, were bound to get it back here somehow." "Ahh...that one" The three turned back to Demitri and Alex, "I'm sure it's in a ruin somewhere in Athens." "Most likely in a labayrinth!" Piped up Present, "Yes, these things typically wind up in places like that." "The young man we gave it to is probably frightfully monstrous right now..." "Oh yes, most definately..." "And such a handsome young man..." Cooed past, "Pity." Nodded present in agreement, for once she was not sushed.

Alexander pressed his lips together and breathed, trying to stall the headache that was starting to form. "Wait.... wait." Another pause, and then, "Wait."
Fire-colored eyes swept over each of the four dieties. "Are you saying that the book is in Real World, in Athens with some good looking guy that is... a monster...?" He looked behind him at Demitri, not that his friend could really see his pleading, help me expression.

The Past curled her lips, “Yes, exactly, we left it there.” Reaching into her robes, “For safe keeping, of course.” Soothed the Future, nothing but sweet smiles beneath those hoods “We all know the temptation curiosity brings us and in that book,” Blank faces turned to Alex as the Future spilled, “Is your deepest longing, Prince. If you so desire it…” The fourth sister gazed, “Go and fetch it.” Mischief, trailed the lines of voice, “Of course, if it’s what you really want, what are three old crones to stop you? Of course…” A light laugh, “We understand why you would be hesitant…it must be frightening, having to face what is necessary, for such a precious gift.”

ooc; So, I'm a little confused here. Do they have it with them, right there, or what? And he has to give them something to get the book?
