Name: David Kingsby
Age: 567 (looks about 24)
Gender: Male
Group: Dream (pro Nightmare)
Occupation: Works at a paper pushing, dead end job, somewhere in Dreamland.
Appearance: David is not handsome. He is like the teddy bear you always have around, soft, comforting, and attractive, but not at all sexually. He’s got thick brown hair that he keeps short, and those soft, polar-fleeced type blue eyes. He’s never dressed up too much, he mostly inhabits worn blue jeans, and tee shirts with vaguely humorous designs, but never offensive. He’s slim, but not hard, perfect for innocent cuddling. His height is a somehow unimposing 6 foot even.
Personality: David is every girl’s dream of the best friend. He isn’t gay, but he isn’t much of anything really, because he /never/ gets the girl. He’s the type that will always be there for a friend, always protective and caring and loving and perfect in every manner of friendship. He’s excellent at keeping secrets, giving hard-to-hear advice, and late night Twilight Marathons. He’s got a knack for being comforting and understanding. The down side, he never gets the girl. He’s not physically or emotionally capable of attraction to another person. It just doesn’t happen for him. Which doesn’t stop him from wishing it did, and he’s secretly quite bitter about his position in life. Most of his innate ability to be a good friend isn’t a choice. It’s more forced upon him and has left him somewhat depressed and bitter. However, he cannot express it (he would if he could, but he isn’t allowed). He’s trapped in the best friend role against his will, his body and his mind an infuriating prison. A lot of the friends he has have been more or less forced upon him because he isn’t capable of acting any other way. So while he might despise them, he is forced to act like they mean the world to him, which often means he resents a lot of his ‘friends’.
Powers:
-An excellent right hook should someone slander a friend’s name.
-Incredibly comforting, and easy to befriend
-It’s quite impossible for him to tell secrets. Even under the most painful torture. It doesn’t have to do so much with iron will as an actual capability.
Other Information:
- To deal with all the bottled emotion he cannot express, David drinks, a lot. Probably equal to his own weight per day. He’s a chronic alcoholic, and has the most amazing talent at hiding it from his ‘friends’.
