Name: Paquette Printemps Saison
Age: Two or three centuries, give or take. A lady is always vague about these details and Paquette's never been good with numbers.
Gender: Female
Group: Dream
Occupation: Reluctant organic farmer, part-time nurse, and underpaid babysitter
Appearance: As the dream of spring, Paquette remains a youthful eighteen, sprightly and very freshly pretty. Since she spends most of her free time lazing about doing nothing, she is what she terms “pleasantly plump” or “just very curvy”. She has gray-blue eyes and has blond hair, which she powders lightly and them sweeps up under a beribboned and beflowered broad-brimmed straw hat. Though on the plumper side of sylph-like, Paquette moves with a sort of languorous grace and has a very elegant indolent walk (she never does anything quickly). Most often, you’ll spot her wearing late eighteenth century attire and some form of a gaulle, a soft, flowing dress of lawn or muslin, with a sash around a high waist with a matching ribbon to tie the deep, ruffly collar.
Personality: Paquette is deeply, deeply lazy and spends most of her time daydreaming, napping, resting, or plotting to get out of work. She is practical, for all her indolence, and knows that a few hours of concentrated effort will mean she has the rest of the afternoon to laze about and do nothing. Paquette tends to be very reasonable and agreeable, but will refuse to do anything but the bare minimum unless someone has proved to her conclusively that the situation will not improve if she just leaves it alone. Charming, sweet, good-natured, peaceful, lassiez-faire, and easily contented, Paquette prefers to let things run their course and, though she’ll be friendly to most people, good luck trying to get her to do anything unless you’re an extremely close friend. She adores sweets of all kinds, spends just a little too much on clothing, and is an extremely good liar, as Paquette knows just about every excuse there is not to work, and has used them on everyone. Though extremely clever and quite intelligent, Paquette places more of an emphasis on practical considerations than theoretical knowledge and there are some noticeable gaps in her education (particularly when it comes to math).
Powers: Though Paquette uses her powers infrequently, she’s still the dream of spring and, to that end, can make anything at all grow. She has some minor control over the weather, though not much, and can breathe life back into just about anything as long as it isn’t fully dead. Paquette can make flowers pop up anywhere and keep them fresh for ages. She does have some control over time (much more than the weather, certainly) and can keep wounds or illnesses from progressing. She can only stop the effects of time, however.
Paquette also paints a little. Not very well, but enough so that you get the jist of whatever it is she’s painted.
Other Information: Born to family of ancient Dreams of the Seasons, Paquette grew up on a farm.
She hates the farm.
With a passion.
It is, perhaps, the only thing she is passionate about.
However, being a perpetual eighteen means that her opportunities for getting away from the farm are next to nil, and she still lives with her elder brother and her parents, on their organic farm. To get away from it, Paquette frequently babysits her cousin Nellie (their mothers are sisters), and took on a job as a part-time nurse at Good Hope Hospital. She likes to feign exhaustion from the few hours she puts in each week to sleep in until noon. Paquette dislikes Nightmares, but without enough passion to do anything but vaguely avoid them. Much too much work to do anything else.
