"Sure. Try not to jump. It will feel like burning, but it won't hurt." He stepped forward and put his hands on her waist. He sent small points of heat into every pore of her body, increasing her overrall temperature so that nothing vital was harmed, but all moisture was quickly evaporated.
He didn't release her once she was dry, returning back to their conversation as if the interlude hadn't happened. "Sure they do. People, as in humans, who are conflicted with Nightmares, as in, you and I. Nightmares don't get bad dreams unless they're memories. Lucid dreaming wouldn't help a memory as well as half a dozen other things."

It was one of the oddest sensations she'd ever felt. Exactly as he'd explained it, but it was still surprising. It felt like she was burning, like her skin was on fire but there was none of the pain.
Remember how your skin feels right now.
Zizzy pulled away from him with a violent jerk and crossed her arms. "I've got my reasons, ok?" Armand was probably going to tell him anyways. She didn't know why she didn't want to explain. It was really kind of silly. It wasn't anything to be ashamed about and it wasn't like she'd have to give details.
"Iker." She said after a moment. "He's been bothering me lately. No big deal." She turned towards the street and started walking, because of course she was blushing.

He held up his hands in surprise, taking a step back from her. His brow furrowed with concern. He hadn't meant to hurt her. The frightened look in her eyes made him feel uncomfortable until she said that he wasn't the source of the fear.
He was surprised at the burning wave of anger that rippled through him. He caught up with her in two strides. "How is Iker bothering you?" he asked, a serious edge to his voice that made him sound remarkably like Armand. He paused, and it clicked. "He's the visitation Night Terror?" he asked, shocked, though mostly to himself. "Damn."

His tone made her double-take. She hadn’t expected anything of the kind from Alexander. It was almost touching. Zizzy shrugged.
“I guess so.” She wasn’t exactly up to date on Night Terror Lore, but Alexander seemed pretty keen. “He’s been getting into my head, when both Armand and I are asleep.” If she was going to keep up the lie that she had to be asleep too, she mine as well do it with Alexander too. Hopefully it soon wouldn’t matter either way. “I don’t like it.” She murmured. Zizzy didn’t like being so afraid, and at first Iker hadn’t really bothered her. He could freak out in her head all he wanted. But it was the way he looked at her that scared her, even though she tried her best to tell herself she was being stupid.
Her hand closed around the drugs. She’d removed them from the inside pocket of her jacket and looked at them as they walked. How could such small things fix such big problems?
She could only hope.

"Bastard," Alexander muttered. Iker got under his skin too, but Iker seemed to get under everyone's skin. Visitation was a tricky title. It explained why Iker could mimick other powers and personalities. He spared a swift glance in Zizzy's direction. But why would Iker focus on Zizzy? To hurt Armand? You'd think his energies would be better directed toward taking control again.
"Ready to go?" he asked.
