Name: Jasper Grey III
Age: 239 (appears to be late twenties, maybe early thirties if he’s scowling particularly old-manish)
Gender: Male
Group: Dream. Very anti-Nightmare.
Occupation: Anarchist. Rebel.
Appearance: Towering at an impressive six foot seven, Jasper strikes an intimidating figure, several heads above his teammates. Though tall, he’s not necessarily wide, with the typical male form of broader shoulders and tapered waist. His face has the sophisticated sharpness of aristocracy, with a straight nose and a grim mouth. His eyes are the color of whiskey and generally very calm (in contrast his other features), lazily drooping and almost making him look half-asleep. The vague, sleepy quality to his eyes is actually a deception, a habit he acquired when he was a boy when he wanted to tune people out to think. So, the more bored he looks, the more intense his thoughts. It gives him a rumpled, just-woke-up look that makes him more attractive to the other sex than he would ever care to be aware of.
His hair is an unusual shade of charcoal gray, coarse and much older than his face would say, that he wears just past the point of needing a cut, so that it hangs a little over his ears. Jasper’s countenance is very ‘don’t-screw-with-me’ and he tends to be generally frightening, despite being a Dream. He wasn’t always this way, but since DEN tends to use the threat “Or we’ll sic Jasper on you,” he’s learned to play up the power of his build.
Personality: Jasper takes the term ‘strong and silent’ to a new level. He doesn’t talk if he can help it, though the longer you know him, the more he tends to warm up. He is a born Dream, and one of the very few that have several generations behind him. An old family, with old money; his mother was even acquainted with the Queen herself before the Great War started. His family has always been very military oriented, and Jasper, by default, developed a brilliant strategic mind. Quite a few victories could be credited to his quick thinking and intuitive instincts. Because of said military background, he likes structure, and reasons for things, and organization.
Jasper is one of those irritating people that is naturally good, not brilliant, but good, at everything. However, his quiet nature keeps any arrogance at bay. What he lacks in charisma and social manners, he makes up for being solid and sensible. Time has made Jasper bitter and detached from true emotion, though he doesn’t take out his unhappiness on others, just comes off as a brooding, scary recluse.
His temper, though not easily provoked, is quite nasty when it rears its head. He has his own personal sense of justice separate from legality; if he believes something should be done, he will do it, even if it is illegal. According to his own unique honor code, he helps those who help him, and is fiercely loyal to those who have managed to earn his respect.
Powers: Jasper is the dream of good luck, and as such, is very, very lucky. Things tend to flow in his favor, if fate can help it. Despite being just a handy guy to have around, Jasper (due to his luck) is an excellent shot with a pistol, and carries one around at all times on his hip.
Other Information: Jasper’s entire family was killed off in the Great War, and he resents the unification of the two realms. He believes that some things were meant to be kept separate, and that the two races (Dream and Nightmare) were never intended to live together. He doesn’t care so much to dethrone Jack, or have Hina rule again, just to separate the two realms. Also, Nightmares have proven themselves to be arrogant, barbaric creatures that are prone to violence and death. He considered his passionates extremist enough, and enlisted himself to Diaspro's cause, the second in command to her group D.E.N. On a side note, he has an ex-girlfriend named Jolene, and long story short, he’s not over her.
