Name: Finola Vicerri
Age: 129, Physically, about 16.
Gender: Female
Group: Half-Nightmare, Half-Dream, Finola thinks the whole Nightmare/Dream prejudice is old-fashioned and is a simply a burden of everyday life.
Occupation: Inventor, Horticulturist, and probably ‘mad’ Scientist.
Appearance: For having a mother who is basically a live-in chef, Finola is built like a toothpick. She’s fairly tall and almost painfully thin, since she is very often too caught up in her experiments to remember to eat. Her skin tone could be described as ‘porcelain’, which makes a great deal of sense, since Finola is literally made of porcelain. (They don’t know how it happened, but it sure made her toddler years a pain.) Like most dolls, Fin’s golden, eerily expressionless eyes are prone to giving many people the heebie-jeebies. She always seems to have the same bored expression on her face, whether she’s watching paint dry or bungee jumping; her face never betrays her feelings. Thankfully, for those trying to gauge Finola’s emotions, her hair color can be a huge indicator. At its neutral state, her hair is a swirling kaleidoscope of color. Bursts of color erupt at random intervals along her long, wild mane, and spread through the hair like a ripple, until they hit another wave of color, and mesh. However, when Finola experiences a strong emotion, a solid color that represents that particular emotion starts at the roos of her hair, and fills down to the tip, until she calms herself down.
Though she spends most of her time in her bedroom-turned-laboratory, Finola likes to keep current with the Chimera fashion scene. She’s often seen wearing a cute, skull-print dress under her labcoat, and sporting cute knit hats all winter. Finola would never be seen leaving the house without a sweater in tow, thanks to her mother’s constant reminders. Deeply pragmatic, Finola will wear her hair back in a bun while she’s working, but prefers to display it in all its Technicolor glory by leaving it down in her spare time.
Personality: Despite Finola’s constant expression of indifference, a more genuinely interested person is hard to find. She’s intrigued by anything and everything mechanical, constantly trying to make mental blueprints. When she was a young girl, she made a functioning robot out of pipecleaners, tin foil, and parts taken from Hugh’s disassembled remote control car. Needless to say, Hugh was not as impressed as the rest of the family. Ever since, Finola’s natural knack for making things has flourished and her inventions become more advanced. She prefers mechanical to biological experiments, but has found that keeping a small hothouse of medicinal and poisonous plants in their backyard is quite useful and enjoyable. Far too busy and smart for the average boy, Finola waits patiently for a boy worthy of being her beau. Until then, she still harbors her childhood crush on Nicola Tesla. She has a poster of him over her bed.
Fin, like most teenage girls, loves her family, but can get fed-up with them very easily. This is especially true in regard to her younger brother, Hugh. Like any siblings, Finola and Hugh tend to be at each other’s throats quite often, despite Finola trying very hard not to engage in arguments with him, mostly to avoid triggering his illness. She is past the age where she’s embarrassed by her mother and father, and now embraces her mother’s handmade knitwear, especially now that she’s old enough to make requests. (“Can it be blue? With an empire waist? And clover lace on the sleeves? Thanksmombbye!”)
Powers: Luckily for our porcelain girl, any cracks she acquires will heal up at about the rate of a scratch on a normal human. Even if her arm breaks off completely, as long as she has the pieces and glues herself back together, it will heal up seamlessly. She has a chip in her right cheek where she lost a piece. It bothers her quite a lot, and she touches it constantly, especially when she’s nervous.
Not exactly a power, Finola is very intelligent, nearly genius at figuring out the mechanisms of any object.
Other Information: Due to her unfortunate tendency to break, she brings a bottle of ceramics glue with her at all times.
Finola’s hair has 7% more purple in it at all times than it does any other color. She did the math.
