Annie adjusted the short organza veil for what felt like the tenth time. She was just so nervous. Her first marriage hadn’t gone well. Who was to say this one would? Sure, Miguel was charming, handsome, responsible, caring, intelligent, and –well- perfect. He was perfect, but hadn’t Aquillo seemed wonderful too, once? Annie shook her head at her sunglass tinted reflection. Aquillo and Miguel were two very different people. Miguel loved her. He was going to give her a family. That was what mattered. Danm these jitters!
Annie heard a knock on the door, shaking her from her thoughts. She adjusted the veil for a final time, smoothed out her fashionable cocktail-dress style gown, and went to open the door.
“Yes?” A head of piled white hair peeped in from the doorway. October was there in her silver bridesmaid gown.
“Hi, Annie. I was just checking if you were alright. They’ve started seating the guests,” October informed her. Annie nodded quietly, looking back at the mirror for reassurance. October hesitated at the door. Her ex-boss didn’t seem quite right. “Are you okay?” the level-headed librarian asked. Annie smiled shakily.
“I’m fine. Just nerves,” she said with a wiry grin. “Go on, go on! I’ll be out soon,” Annie shooed. October nodded once and disappeared. Taking a deep breath, Annie fixed her veil one last time and emerged from her dressing room. It was time.

Miguel was nervous. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he was nervous. He had been married before, as well, and that hadn't ended so well. He and his ex-wife had gotten along well-enough, until she had died, that is. They couldn't exactly get along then. Shoving these thoughts aside, Miguel turned his mind to Annie. Just the thought of her brought a smile to his face. He never could have imagined what the woman of his dreams would be like; she wasn't that predictable. And that was one of the things he loved about her. Oh, goodness, he loved everything about her, and he was going to be marrying her in a few moments.
"Till death do us part," he said to his reflection, smiling a bit. "It's time, Miguel," he heard from the hall. Without hesitation, the Spaniard went to take his place at the altar, ready to wait just a little longer for the love of his life.

Annie emerged into the waiting area. Isabail and October were already there. Where the rest of her bridesmaids had got to, she had no idea.
"Well girls, another ten minutes and my number's up," Annie said jokingly. October smiled kindly, knowing the woman was going through pre-marriage butterflies. Getting married... She didn't think Julien would ask any time soon. In fact, she doubted he'd ask at all without some outside intervention, but it was still nice to imagine... She wouldn't do the trendy style of gown Annie had gone for. She'd go more traditional. And some place a little more low key than the central park in Chimera. Oh, who was she kidding? If she married Julien, it'd be a big, blow out wedding that she'd do most of the planning for. That was assuming he even proposed. October looked down at the two bouquets she was holding. One for her and one for the bride. She shouldn't be thinking about herself. Today was Annie's day.
"Here, Annie," she said, handing over the flowers. "You look beautiful."
"Thank you, dear," Annie said, beaming. A compliment had always been the fastest was to her heart. The bride-to-be peeked out at the gathering crowd. Five more minutes and then she'd be gainfully on her way to getting married. She swallowed nervously and reminded herself that she loved Miguel more than Opera and Gucci put together and she really had to calm down. Why were weddings such nerve wracking experiences?

"Och, Annie!" Iseabail exclaimed as the woman emerged. "Aye, ye are positively gorgeous!" she added her own words to October's agreeing with every word. Annie was definitely the radiant bride. Iseabail was so happy to be part of the wedding party; her friend deserved to be happy, and it was finally happening.
She could see that Annie was nervous, though. Smiling kindly at the woman, Iseabail placed a soothing hand on Annie's shoulder. "Dinna fash yerself, lassie; everything will be wonderful," she told her. People usually at least smiled when Iseabail reverted to her Scottishness, but that's what she was going for right now. Glancing at the clock, Iseabail looked over to October, grinning. "Ready?" she asked. They would, of course, be preceding Annie down the aisle.
Meanwhile, at the front of the aisle, Miguel stood with his back to the place Annie would emerge. He had gone all out for this occasion, making sure everything was perfect for their special day. Now all he had to do was wait. And that was a lot harder than it seemed.

October smiled playfully back at Iseabail. She didn't know the singer very well, but she seemed very nice and Annie seemed to like her. "Bron ready," October said. "But where did-- Oh!" The last two bridesmaids came wandering in. The procession ready and time ticking down, there seemed no reason to delay. Annie took a shuddering breath. This was it.
"Thank you, darling. I'm not 'fash'ing myself. I'm just excited," Annie claimed, smiling for her friend. "It's going to go splendidly. I know it," she assured whoever was listening with false confidence. The music started. October shooed the other two bridesmaids out and the procession started. Annie touched her hand to her veil in one last-minute check. Everything in place, she anxiously awaited her cue to walk down the aisle.

Iseabail flashed one last smile at Annie and took her place in the procession. She was so happy for her friend; Annie deserved some happiness!
Miguel waited anxiously at the front of the aisle, butterflies in his stomach. Today was the official start of the happiest rest of his life. Ever since he had met Annie, he had been happier with her in his life. He wanted to spend as many years as they had together; they would have a family, a wonderful family, and more importantly, they would have each other.
Then the bride's music started to play. This was it; this was when he and Annie would become officially inseparable. Now was the time he was allowed to look for his bride. Miguel turned and looked down the aisle, wanting to be able to see the woman that he loved in all her beautiful splendor. And there she was, gorgeous as always. She took his breath away simply existing. He gazed at her, his warm brown eyes full of the love he felt, love that would only continue to grow from this day forward.

Annie took a deep breath, steadied herself on her four inch white silk heels, and emerged into the back of pathway leading to Miguel and their new life together. With a last thought to her veil, she set out, sliding past row after row of chairs. Unbeknown to her, her veil was fine. Perfect, even. The organza covered her face to her chin, including the lace that had been wrapped around her eyes in place of her sunglasses. The dress was short, with a high waist and a blue satin sash. The rest of the dress was silk and lace, a dangerous duo to any but the most experienced of dressmakers. The dress came to just above her knees in a ruffle. The neckline was square with blue thread detail and the sleeves were short, the same blue detail running along the cuffs. she was wearing white lace gloves and carrying a bouquet of pale blue hydrangeas and white roses.
As she advanced, all her worry seemed to dissipate and she had to concentrate on placing one foot in front of the other. She thought she might cry. How embarrassing, crying at her own wedding. Luckily, no one cold directly see her eyes to know she was tearing up.

Even if Annie had been wearing a burlap sack, she would have been beautiful. The dress complimented her perfectly, and Miguel had to hold back his own tears of joy. And yet, a single droplet slid down his cheek; he was just so happy! Annie had agreed to become his wife and they were about to start their new life together.
As she reached him, Miguel took Annie's hands, unable to stop smiling. "You look beautiful, mi amor," he whispered to her, squeezing her hand. "Thank you, Annie, for making me the happiest man in the world," he continued; he just couldn't keep from telling her how much he loved her, even if it was just with his eyes.

"I love you," she whispered back, feeling her customary confidence for the first time that day. The guests fell silent as the bride and groom turned to the officiator. He began the ceremony, saying a blessing over the couple and going on to give a small speech about their devotion. Annie only managed to stop dripping tears halfway through the ceremony. This was truly the happiest day of her life.

((LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAAAAAIN! ^^))
AFTER THE CEREMONY
He almost couldn't believe it; Anemone Basiliskos was now Anemone Basiliskos de Zorro. Before everyone started flooding them in the receiving line, he squeezed her hand, smiled at her, and kissed her again. "I love you, Mrs. Anemone Basiliskos de Zorro," he whispered to her, beaming.
They had been living together for a bit but tonight was going to be special; tonight was their honeymoon. And they were going to Italy! It was going to be absolutely wonderful. But there was the reception to deal with first.
