They had planned it, but it was basically pointless now. She was planning on telling Marie to stop before their dramatic kiss, but it was more or less sprung upon her. Genn didn’t reciprocate the kiss, nor did she freeze with shock; she just sort of let herself get frenched by Marie. Genevieve used the side of her pinky to clean up the lipstick that got smeared once Marie broke off the kiss. Genn’s shade of lipstick was darkened by the purple tones in Marie’s, and Marie’s was significantly brightened by Genn’s obnoxious, fire-engine red.
“Too late, dear, I’ve been discovered. It was all for naught,” she sighed, lacing her arm in Marie’s like nothing weird had just happened at all. With a slight bit of hesitation, she addressed her dad, “Daddy, I’m going to go shopping with Marie. I’ll be back in time for dinner. Is that okay?”
She hadn’t asked permission to do anything in so long. It felt strange to do so.
“Oh,” she paused, looking over her shoulder at Camilla, “unless you still need me?”

Marie shrugged and touched up her own lipstick with her fingers. "Oh well." She smiled at Jack, "Oh please Monsieur? We will be good girls." It wasn't like she didn't come around often enough for the King to know who she was. Genn, Samantha and her had been friends for quite a long time now.
Camilla blinked and than grinned a little, feeling pity for Jack. His daughter certainly was an interesting one. "No, I've got everything I need now. I can start on my wand. Tell Mary I'll be as quick as I can be."

"Yeah, honey..." He said, still somewhat dazed, uncertain on whether or not he should be celebrating or just bracing himself for the next phase. "S'fine." Shaking his head, he faced Camilla.
"I'll tell her. She'll be glad to hear it, I'm sure."
