Armand grimaced. He hadn't thought about the effects the lack of food would have on the masses stability. If history taught anything it was that survival instinct could bring out the worst in people-- and groups of people, large groups, fighting to survive, could elevate to the extent of bloodthirst and extreme violence.
They entered the main hall and he excused himself, wanting to talk to Zizzy about this immediately.
Alexander, for his part, kept his teeth clamped firmly over his tongue. Only choice few expletives were finding their way to the speech part of his brain anyway.
Jack met them in the hall, just leaving his office, Simon at his heels. They both paused at the sight of Alexander's stormy, and worse, quiet, expression, and October's rigid countenance. A beat of silence passed, then Jack asked, "What's wrong?"
