We use the word group for, honestly, the lack of a better word. Your group is simply what you are classified under, as far as general description goes.
Dream: Dreams are imagined beings created by the subconscious human mind in atmospheres of happiness, and thus inspired by positive feelings. They need human joy to survive.
[EX: Imaginary friend, joy of romance, wishes, etc.]
- Please include if your character is Anti-Nightmare, Pro-Nightmare, or Neutral.
Nightmare: Nightmares are imagined beings created by strong unpleasant emotional responses from a human, typically fear or horror, or the sensations of pain, falling, drowning or death. They need human fear to survive.
[EX: Phobias, monsters, personal vendettas, etc.]
- Please include if your character is Anti-Dream, Pro-Dream, or Neutral.
Marelock: Marelock is the term used to describe an imagined being that has both Nightmare and Dream blood in their veins. The mara was thought of as an immaterial being – capable of moving through a keyhole or the opening under a door – who seated herself at the chest of a sleeping person and "rode" him or her. She could also entangle the hair of the sleeping man or beast, and even trees, resulting in branches being entangled. The term is only used when meant to cause offense. A marelock cannot be created, they must be born.
Mortal: Fairly self explanatory. Rarely do humans manage to lose themselves in the realm of the imagined, but it has been known to happen.
Night Terror: Nightmares pushed far beyond their limit; demons that stalk the night, unchecked, untamable and dangerous.
Mirage: The opposite of Night Terrors, Mirages are Dreams that have extended beyond their natural limitation. Unlike Night Terrors, they are not physical, but they are slightly insane, and possess infinite knowledge. Sometimes referred to as hallucinations.
Note: To play a Night Terror or a Mirage, you must first check with an administrator.
