Genevieve slunk out of her favorite carriage, the replica of Catherine II’s coronation coach, redone in hot pink, for her 16th birthday. Rebelling or not, the girl liked to travel in style. She looked like an ink blot, compared to the perky Dreamland landscape.
She was dressed in second-skin black jeans, tucked into leopard-print boots with about a six-inch heel. She sauntered around in these with little difficulty, though the brightness of the sun was making her a bit dizzy. She wore an oversized black t-shirt, belted with a wide, hot pink leather belt. A cropped motorcycle jacket was thrown overtop, and of course, she wore gloves and glamour goggles to keep the sun out. She checked her reflection in the mirror quickly, brushing her now-neon pink bangs out of her face. The girl that looked back at her was not the same Genevieve Ira that she had known two weeks ago. She had gone from being Elizabeth Bennet to Kitty Bennet in the time it took to have a conversation. And, she surprised herself with the feeling of pride that bubbled up in her stomach.
She actually liked looking like this.
Maybe, when she decided to give her Dad a break and go back to being Lizzy again, she’d keep up this look. Her mom would embrace it eventually. Maybe.
She rapped on the door of Samantha’s cottage with her heavily-bejeweled knuckles, “Helloo!”

Marie arrived moments later. Desperately wishing she was sitting on a motorcycle, not a one-person buggy. The girl parked and hopped off the thing, turning around to pull out a few bags from the floor.
She was dressed like a sailor might be if that sailor was also Minny Mouse on crack. But Marie pulled it off if only because she looked like she knew exactly what she was doing. She came up behind Genn, switched all bags to one arm to give the Princess a one-armed squeeze.
"I brought zupplies." She grinned (amongst other things, chips and condoms).

Samantha swung open the door, a broad smile on her face. "Gennevieve! Marie!" She waved them in. "Hurry, hurry, I now how dreadful the sun is to Nightmares, especially you, Genn dear."
Once the door was shut, she fully appraised Genn's new look, one hand on her hip, an eyebrow raised and a saucy smirk on her lips. "Oh, Genn, you look positively rebellious!" She fanned a hand to her collar bone. "Of course everyone is talking about it like it's the most appalling scandal, but I think you look positively delicious."
She turned to Marie, beaming. She air-kissed both her cheeks. "Oh, Marie. I haven't seen you in ages. Come in here," she waved them towards her parlor, "I have all sorts of chocolates and... risque trinkets." She smiled slyly at Genn.

Genevieve kissed Marie, and then Samantha when she opened the door. She smiled a fire-engine red red-painted smile, “You think I look good? I kind of do too. It makes me feel…wicked. My mother kind of hates me now, though.”
Genn followed Samantha into the parlor, looking cheerful. These girls were so good to her. They were always ready to lend a hand, even in her less-than-savory new schemes. She waved a tin around a bit, placing it on the coffee table. “My aunt cooked some tarts for me to bring. She has no idea about what sort of sleepover she’s providing snacks for.” She giggled, letting Crawford out of his carrier-purse.
“So, what did you guys bring me?”
This was going to be fun.

Marie smiled and closed the door behind her, placing the bags next to the tarts and pulling out handcuffs, dangling them on one finger, and a box of condoms in the other. "I was zinking you should take up smoking too." She said happily and put the things on the coffee table.
"I got you cigarettes, but don't actually smoke zem. Zey taste disgusting." Marie bent down to scratch behind Crawford's ears and grinned.
"Zis is going to be a blast."

Samantha ignored the dog. Frankly, it gave her the creeps.
"The wickedness is what I find so delicious," Samantha told her, lips curling. She picked up one of the condoms daintily between two fingers, giggling. "But do we really want these?" she said suggestively, "After all, it's more.... scandalous without them."
She flitted through her own pile of goodies and pulled out a leather studded lingerie. "Ta-daa!" She nodded at the cigarettes. "Good idea. Just wave them around your clothes so you smell like them. Oh! And alcohol. Rub it on your neck and swish it around in your mouth."

Genevieve nodded fervently, sending her gaudy earrings clinking against her necklaces. “I was thinking of cigarettes! They smell awful, but it’s worth it, I think.” She grabbed up the condoms and the handcuffs, stuffing them into her purse. “I’ll have to drop my purse in the hall, coming home one morning, right in front of my dad. My God, he will be outraged.”
Genevieve had managed to keep the color in her face down to the neon-green cat-eye eyeshadow and red lipstick. That is, until Samantha whipped out the leather lingerie. She turned three shades of pink. “Oh. My. God. Samantha, did you actually go into a store and BUY that?” Genn giggled, fanning her face in embarrassment. “I would have been mortified.” After a moment or two, she managed to get ahold of herself, "But what do I do with that? It's not like I can leave it hanging in the hallway. That'll look like I'm trying to get caught."

"Have it sticking out of a drawer." She answered. "Or low-rise jeans will work." Marie grinned and went to take the nasty looking underwear from Samantha. "You are brilliant." She complimented before holding the things up to the light to examine them.
"But I do not know if you'd want to wear zese. Zey look like zey could give you some kind of infection." She tossed them playfully at Genn and then pulled a vibrator out of her purse. "'Ow far are you willing to go? Leave zis on your beside table." She chuckled.

Samantha's eyes widened at the sight of the vibrator and she let out a shrill shriek. "Oh, Marie, you are wicked." A nervous set of giggles slipped uncontrollably from her lips. She glanced at Genn, hoping their dear, semi-sheltered friend would know what it was.
"So tell me about last week," she said. "I heard a young man desposited a slept in you at the castle and received a nasty welcome. I want all the details."

“GOD! MARIE!” Genevieve shrieked at about the same time and at the exact same pitch as Samantha. “Goodness gracious, have you no shame?” She giggled helplessly, pushing the vibrator back at Marie. “I don’t think I can take that, I might just blush to death, first.”
The nervous laughter died away rather quickly at Samantha’s inquiry. There were…issues between Samantha and David, and really, she didn’t want to somehow upset her friend. “Well, actually, it was David Kingsbey. I met him again at The Gaia, by chance, and we got to talking—this is right as the seeds of rebellion were really starting to take root in my soul-- and I decided that there was no time to start like the present. So, I asked him if I could stay the night at his place,” Genevieve paused to take a breath, “And we built a few card castles, which I discovered I’m appallingly bad at, and I ruffled myself all up, put on a bit of his cologne, and had him take me home.” The Princess shook her head, obviously, this is wear it started to get ugly.
“So, kind of last-minute, I decided that it would add to the drama if I was kissing him when whoever came to the door came to the door. And I was praaaaying that Mom or Armand, you know…someone with some kind of sense, would be the one to ‘catch’ us. Unfortunately, it was Armand, my dad, and Alexander who came out,” She sunk deeper back into the cushy parlor chair, “and, of course, my dad lost his temper, and neither of my brothers were too excited about this. Poor David. I thought Daddy was going to kill him.”

Marie shrugged and dropped it on the table with everything else. "Daaaa-vid?" She said (that name was particularly hard for her to say). "Isn't that ze guy?" She glanced over at Sam and settled down on the couch, tucking her feet under her after slipping them out of the heels.
"Oh, I would 'ave paid to be zere. And you'll nevair guess what 'appened to me on ze beach ze othair day. Eet 'as somezing to do with your botheair, Genn."
Not that Samantha had a brother.

Samantha froze and with years of discipline school, swept her face free of shock and gave a tight smile. "Oh?"
She gave up after a minute. Genn and Marie would see right through her. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not mad, or anything, Genn, I just..." She fanned herself helplessly. "But, oh-- how is he? Did he mention me? Of course not, I'm sorry." She paused, looking a mixture of sad and dreamy. "He's a good kisser, isn't he?"
She blushed to the roots of her hair, letting out a fake, nervous laugh. She cleared her throat. "Um, anyway. The beach, Marie? With Genn's... wait." Her lip curled into a sneer, sincerely forgetting her own distress for a moment. "It couldn't have been Armand, so it must have been Alexander. Marie." She tsked her tongue scoldingly.

Internally, Genevieve wiped her brow. Phew. She wasn’t mad. Now, if she found out that Genevieve had kinda-sorta, very unintentionally, dissuaded David from further pursuing Samantha by suggesting he take up a hobby instead of pining. As if it would help her recall with more detail the events of that day, Genn pressed her eyes closed, trying to visualize.
“He looked,” she paused and frowned. She actually didn’t know what David ‘normally’ looked like. She saw him once, in costume, and had no point of comparison, “he looked fine. A little…slumpy at first, but he looked much more animated once we started talking. And, yes. He mentioned you. Actually, you were the center of at least half of our conversation.” Technically, that was a lie. They had talked about ‘Rose’, but, regardless.
She crinkled her nose at Sam. “It was actually reallllly awkward. Lots of spit and no feelings…it was worse than any stage kiss I’ve ever done. I mean, nothing wrong with the kiss itself. It probably would have been lovely if I actually had feelings for him.”
Just as eager to skip to the new conversation as Samantha, Genevieve leaned in close to Marie, clamping her hand over her mouth. “You did what with Alexander on the beach?!”

"Nozing serious!" She declared hurriedly. She'd figured it was a good idea to get the conversation away from David, so naturally it focusing on her was a brilliant idea. "We just cuddled in a 'ammock. Can you believe zat? Alexandair taking a nap wiz me. Nozing 'appened really." Like she was going to mention her head falling off in front of these two. As much as she loved them, Sam could barely stand Crawford and they were all vain.
"And zen we went on his motorcycle. I want one now! Eet was so much fun. 'Ee waz actually kind of....sweet."

Samantha's jaw dropped.
"You cuddled? Ew." She glanced at Genn. "No offense, of course. But he's so... obnoxious." She pulled a face. She studied Marie for a moment and then smirked. "Still, it sounds as though this may have been serious. A motorcycle ride? My, my."
