"I dunno when. I kinda just decided. And, would ya know it? That's the exact same thing he said to me. That 'no one would expect me to wait so long'. I'm not sure if I should be offended. I guess I just don't come off as the waitin' type, then, huh?" She sighed and snubbed her cigarette in the ash tray, smiling at Camilla a little over her shoulder.
"You know, I don't talk much to broads. But...it's kinda nice."

"Me either. I don't have many friends at all, in fact." She shrugged her shoulder, "I'm too involved with my work I guess." She didn't pity herself, she loved working, but sitting here with Cherry made her realize there was a part of life she was missing out on. Thankfully, being immortal let you procrastinate things like no human would ever feel comfortable with ("Ahhh, I'll work on being social NEXT century").
"And it's not like you look like a whore or anything, a few hundred years is a long dry spell. I would know."

"Oh? And where do ya work?" She prompted, sounding very much like a Queens hairdresser. "Besides godmotherin', I guess. But I'd assume that's a pretty consumin' job in itself. I'm glad my powers don't obligate me to no one. I'd hate having to be useful." Utility was also not one of Cherry's strong points. She could be useful if she wanted, but she rarely wanted anything more than simple, self-indulgence.

"I run the Good Hope. And I don't mind being useful, so much. I was happy with it for a very long time, only recently I've started to feel like I'm missing out."
Cherry's voice was a little bit grating at sometimes it took extra special effort not to wince, but Camilla pulled it off. Once you got passed the screech, the woman was interesting to talk to. "How many thugs do you get coming around here?" She asked, seemingly out of the blue.
